Mixed Trend in Mandi Prices: Wheat, Maize, and Mustard Above MSP, Others Lagging Behind
★ Wheat prices in Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh) stood at Rs. 2,465 per quintal, which is Rs. 40 above the government-declared MSP of Rs. 2,425. Similarly, maize in Gulabbagh (Bihar) was priced at Rs. 2,410, Rs. 185 above its MSP of Rs. 2,225. Barley in Bikaner (Rajasthan) fetched Rs. 2,100, which is Rs. 120 more than its MSP.
★ Mustard prices in Alwar (Rajasthan) reached Rs. 6,000 per quintal, Rs. 50 higher than its MSP of Rs. 5,950. Meanwhile, sesame (til) prices in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) were Rs. 933 above MSP.
★ On the other hand, lentil (masoor) prices in Mahoba (Uttar Pradesh) were Rs. 6,000, which is Rs. 700 below its MSP of Rs. 6,700.
★ Moong prices in Kishangarh (Rajasthan) were Rs. 7,300, which is Rs. 1,382 below its MSP of Rs. 8,682.
★ Other pulses like urad, tur (arhar), and chana (gram) are also being sold below their MSPs in various markets.
★ Among oilseeds, groundnut in Bikaner (Rajasthan) was sold at Rs. 5,200, which is Rs. 1,583 lower than its MSP of Rs. 6,783.
★ Soybean in Kota (Rajasthan) was priced at Rs. 4,500 per quintal, Rs. 392 below the MSP of Rs. 4,892.
★ Sorghum (jowar) saw the biggest drop, with prices in Bagalkot (Karnataka) falling to Rs. 2,250 — Rs. 1,121 below its MSP of Rs. 3,371.
