New Delhi. The National Cooperative Consumer Federation (NCCF), an agency under the Central Government, has increased its gross turnover target by 45 percent to ₹12,000 crore for the current financial year 2025-26.
Under the government's Price Support Scheme (PSS), this agency is also responsible for procuring pulses, oilseeds, and maize from farmers, and its procurement scope has expanded significantly. As a result, the agency will generate significant revenue from the sale of these products.
It is noteworthy that during the financial year 2024-25, this government agency achieved a turnover of approximately ₹8270 crore.
The Managing Director of NCCF stated that the Federation has achieved a significant increase in the procurement of agricultural products over the past two years and will continue to expand its procurement scope.
NCCF's share in the total procurement volume under the Union Agriculture Ministry's Price Support Scheme is currently around 30 percent, and this limit is expected to increase further in the future.
It is worth noting that to provide minimum support price to farmers, most of the procurement of pulses, oilseeds and maize is done by NAFED, but now NCCF is also getting a good opportunity to increase its participation in this.
In the coming months, when the government procurement of Kharif pulses and oilseeds begins, NCCF's activity will also increase.
