Pleasant movement of monsoon

The conditions are favourable for increasing the intensity, speed, and mobility of the southwest monsoon in the seas situated on all three sides of India.
Low pressure areas are regularly forming over the Bay of Bengal in the east and the Arabian Sea in the west, while the Indian Ocean dipole in the south remains neutral.
This is not causing any hindrance to the movement of the monsoon. This year, the monsoon reached all parts of the country before its scheduled time.
Although its pace was very slow during the first fortnight of June, resulting in rainfall being 31 percent below the normal average, the second half of the month saw such a strong recovery that the deficiency was not only covered but total rainfall ended up being 8–9 percent surplus.
In the current month of July, the monsoon continues to remain in a pleasant state for Indian farmers, with regular and widespread rainfall occurring across various regions.
This has greatly helped the farming community in the sowing of Kharif crops. As a result, soil moisture levels are sufficient and the water level in dams and reservoirs is steadily increasing, ensuring a safe reserve of water for the future.
Like in June, the Meteorological Department has forecast that rainfall in most parts of the country in July will also exceed the normal average, which is a promising sign.
With the early arrival of the monsoon and favourable rain conditions, there is strong potential for high food grain and crop production in the country this year.
The Agriculture Secretary has expressed optimism that if weather and rainfall conditions remain favourable until September, food grain output could increase and reach a new record level.
This would help control inflation in food prices while also giving a boost to the national economy through increased farmer income.
A strengthened rural economy is expected to drive demand and consumption across various sectors, ensuring improved industrial development.
With the support of a favourable monsoon, the agriculture sector is progressing well, and the sowing of Kharif crops is advancing strongly. The government is closely monitoring pulses and oilseeds and making special efforts to encourage their cultivation.
