Quantity of Rice Allocated Under OMSS Scheme
★ As per the circular, the allocation of rice for sale under the OMSS 2025 policy is as follows:
★ 25% broken rice – 25 lakh tonnes allocated to private parties, cooperatives, and small traders through FCI.
★ 10% broken custom-milled rice (CMR) – 50 lakh tonnes allocated to private traders.
★ Under the Rice Milling Transformation Scheme – 7.5 lakh tonnes allocated to private parties.
★ Without tender:
★ Till 31st October 2025 – 36 lakh tonnes allocated to state governments and state cooperatives.
★ From 1st November 2025 to 30th June 2026 – 32 lakh tonnes allocated to community kitchens.
★ For the 2024–25 season:
★ Till 31st October 2025 – 52 lakh tonnes of rice allocated to ethanol distilleries at ₹2,250/quintal for ethanol production.
★ From 1st November 2025 to 30th June 2026 – 52 lakh tonnes of rice allocated to ethanol distilleries for ethanol production.
★ No allocation has yet been made under the Bharat Brand Rice category for institutions like NCCF/Central Bhandar.
