Rainfall Situation in Rajasthan: Most Districts Receive Above-Normal Rain, Deficit in Southern Parts
★ According to the India Meteorological Department, between June 1 and August 7, 2025, most districts in Rajasthan have recorded above-normal rainfall.
★ Districts such as Sri Ganganagar (+292%), Hanumangarh (+113%), Churu (+120%), Nagaur (+94%), Bhilwara (+86%), and Kota (+89%) have received significantly higher-than-average rainfall.
★ In western Rajasthan, Jaisalmer (+41%), Barmer (+27%), Bikaner (+31%), and Jalore (+32%) have also seen above-average rainfall.
★ However, southern Rajasthan districts like Sirohi (-13%), Udaipur (-13%), Dungarpur (-15%), Banswara (-13%), and Pratapgarh (-13%) have recorded below-normal rainfall.
★ Good rainfall in northern and eastern Rajasthan is expected to benefit kharif crops, while the deficit in southern districts may cause only a marginal impact on agriculture.
