South Korea Sesame Seed Tender Results – May 2025: India Wins the Bid
★ Last Thursday, I-Grain India had informed that there could be significant movement in the market and indeed, India has won the entire 13,000 metric ton sesame seed tender announced by South Korea.
★ P1 Phase: India secured 5,000 metric tons of sesame seeds at a price ranging from 1431 to 1458 USD per ton.
★ P2 Phase: India won 8,000 metric tons of sesame seeds at a price ranging from 1422 to 1464.90 USD per ton.
★ As a result, India has successfully secured the full 13,000 metric ton tender.
★ This win is expected to provide support to the domestic sesame seed market, potentially stabilizing prices.
