USDA’s weekly Export Sales report showed 2025/26 soybean sales of 211,292 MT for the week ending June 4. This was down 23.68% from the previous week but remained well above the same week last year. Egypt purchased 67,600 MT, while Japan bought 56,400 MT.
New-crop soybean sales totaled 141,500 MT, down 41.77% from the previous week. An unknown destination accounted for 120,000 MT of purchases. Total new-crop sales have reached 1.032 MMT, down 7.69% from the same period last year.
Soymeal sales were reported at 426,138 MT, within market expectations, while soybean oil sales totaled 824 MT.
The WASDE report left U.S. old-crop soybean stocks unchanged at 340 million bushels. However, 20 million bushels were shifted internally from exports to crush demand. New-crop stocks also remained unchanged at 310 million bushels.
Globally, Brazil’s soybean production estimate remained unchanged at 180 MMT, while Argentina’s crop was increased by 2 MMT to 50 MMT. CONAB raised Brazil’s 2025/26 soybean production estimate by 0.12 MMT to 180.25 MMT.
Global soybean ending stocks for 2025/26 increased by 0.39 MMT to 125.52 MMT, while new-crop stocks rose by 0.10 MMT to 124.88 MMT.
