Sunflower Oil: Reasons Behind the Price Drop
★ Argentina is expected to achieve a record sunflower harvest of 4.7 million tons.
★ Both Argentina and Russia are actively exporting oil to major markets like India and the Middle East. The intense competition between the two is pushing prices down.
★ Russia has reduced export duties, and Russian sunflower oil is currently selling in the range of $910–$940/ton.
★ Prices for Ukrainian sunflower oil are as follows:
– Black Sea ports: $1110–$1115/ton
– Germany & Macedonia (DAP): $1150–$1170/ton
★ With higher supply and limited buyers, prices are likely to remain under pressure.
