Jaipur. In Rajasthan—a western state of the country—the Department of Agriculture has released the third advance estimate for the production of various crops for the 2025-26 season, incorporating data from both the Kharif and Rabi seasons.
In its latest report, the Department of Agriculture projects that for the 2025-26 marketing season—compared to 2024-25—groundnut production is expected to surge by approximately 47 percent to reach 31.20 lakh tonnes, while mustard production is estimated to rise by 18 percent, reaching a record high of 63 lakh tonnes.

The food grain category comprises wheat, rice, coarse cereals, and pulses.
During the period under review, wheat production in the state is projected to increase by 6 percent, reaching 158.90 lakh tonnes; however, the production of most other cereals is estimated to decline marginally.
