Turmeric - Benefit to Crop

New Delhi. The rain that started last night on the Marathwada line of Maharashtra, a major producer state, will prove to be a boon for the turmeric crop.

It is noteworthy that during the current season, turmeric has been sown on 30/35 percent more area in Marathwada (Hingoli, Basmat, Nanded) region.

But after sowing, there was a possibility of damage to the crop due to lack of rain, but the recent rains will benefit the crop.
