US Imposes 25% Tariff on India
★ Agricultural exports, especially basmati rice, may be affected.
★ India exports agricultural products worth \$5 billion to the US, with basmati rice and shrimp accounting for 60% of the total, previously shipped duty‑free.
★ The tariff hike is likely to hit basmati rice exports.
★ India exports 270,000 tons of basmati rice to the US annually.
