Moong prices continue to fluctuate due to limited demand

Moong prices have been fluctuating due to a combination of factors, notably sluggish demand from dal millers and limited customer interest in the markets. This has led to a decline in prices across various regions.

New Delhi:

  • In New Delhi, prices dropped by Rs. 100 per quintal, with prices ranging from Rs. 7000 to Rs. 7500 per quintal by the end of the week. The decline was attributed to limited demand from dal millers, with NAFED’s tenders also passing at lower prices, resulting in reduced buying activity.

Rajasthan:

  • Rajasthan witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 to Rs. 200 per quintal in moong prices, attributed to the low availability and weak customer demand. At the end of the week, the prices were as follows:
    • Jodhpur: Rs. 6100 to Rs. 7250
    • Jaipur: Rs. 6800 to Rs. 7500
