Moong prices rise due to better buying

The prices of Moong remained on the rise during the current week due to a combination of weakening selling at lower prices and better buying activity. Increased demand for Moong dal boosted the activity of dal millers, further supporting the upward price trend. This led to a significant price increase in several markets.

Delhi
In Delhi, Moong prices saw an increase of Rs. 200 per quintal, reaching Rs. 7200/7700 per quintal by the weekend due to better buying by dal millers.

Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, Moong prices rose by Rs. 100 to Rs. 200 per quintal due to a reduction in selling pressure from stockists and increased buying. By the end of the week, prices in various regions were:

  • Jaipur: Rs. 6800/7600
  • Sumerpur: Rs. 5500/7500
  • Nagaur: Rs. 7200/7950
  • Merta: Rs. 6800/7800

Madhya Pradesh
In Madhya Pradesh, the Moong prices remained stable, with no significant rise or fall in prices. Prices at the weekend were:
