Despite the strong arrival of new crop, mustard prices remain high

New Delhi. The arrival of new stock of mustard, the most important oilseed crop of the Rabi season, is continuously increasing, but despite this, during the week of 22-28 March, except for some markets of Gujarat and Haryana, its price has increased by 100 to 400 rupees per quintal in other markets. The reason for this is said to be the better quality of mustard and more arrival of dry stock. This time the moisture content in mustard is very low and the size of the grain is relatively large, due to which the oil recovery rate is high. Traders and millers are showing great interest in its purchase.

42% condition mustard

During the week under review, the price of 42 percent condition mustard improved by 150 rupees to 6150 rupees per quintal in Delhi and increased by 200 rupees to 6250 rupees per quintal in Jaipur.
