Peanuts improve in UP amid normal trading and limited arrivals
New Delhi. Peanuts are arriving in limited quantities in the markets of major producing states, while the pace of its buying also remains sluggish.
Incoming
During the week of 31 May - 6 June, daily arrival of peanuts in Rajkot Mandi of Gujarat was between 5-8 thousand bags, but due to limited trading, its price remained stable at the old level of Rs 5000/6000 per quintal.
Rajasthan
Similarly, there was no change in the prices of peanuts in Jodhpur and Bikaner of Rajasthan and Solapur of Maharashtra. But in Jhansi and Mauranipur of Uttar Pradesh (UP), due to total trading at lower prices, prices improved by Rs 100-100.
Peanut seeds
Generally weak trading was also seen in peeled peanut seeds and its price remained stable in Bikaner and Jaipur. But in Jodhpur, the price of 40/50 count and 50/60 count grains improved by Rs 100 each to Rs 8700 and Rs 8200 per quintal respectively. On the other hand, due to weak business in Nagpur, the price of 50/60 count grains fell by Rs 100 to Rs 10200 per quintal and the price of 60/70 count grains fell by Rs 200 to Rs 9400 per quintal. Prices were stable in centers like Jalgaon, Solapur and Mumbai.
Groundnut oil
The price of groundnut oil in loose form fell by Rs 25 to Rs 1325 per 10 kg in Rajkot, Gondal, Junagadh and Jamnagar, but the price of 15 kg teliya tin in Rajkot improved by Rs 20 to Rs 2150. The price of branded groundnut oil tin remained stable at Rs 2350 in Kota, Rajasthan. In Rajasthan itself, the price of filtered groundnut oil remained almost stable due to limited trading in Jaipur and Newai.
Groundnut oil cake
There was not much trading in groundnut oil cake as well while demand in DOC remained weak. The Kharif season of groundnut sowing is near. NAFED is selling groundnut from its stock.
