Pea prices continue to fall due to weak demand
Kanpur. Pea prices continued to decline during the current week. There was adequate availability of imported peas in the market and sluggish demand at the domestic level. Due to which there is pressure on prices. The arrival of imported peas at the port is continuous, due to which there is a continuous increase in supply. With the festive season approaching, consumption is expected to improve, which can provide stability to the market. Due to the pressure of selling by importers and sluggish buying, the prices of imported peas declined by Rs 50/75 per quintal during the current week as well and the prices remained at Mumbai Canada Rs 3350 Russia Rs 3200 and currency Canada Rs 3075/3125 and Russia Rs 3000/3025 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, prices of Kolkata peas also fell by Rs. 125 per quintal this week and prices remained at Rs. 3575 for Canada and Rs. 3475 for Russia. Due to weak demand, prices of Kanpur peas fell by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and with this fall, prices remained at Rs. 3425 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, prices of Lalitpur peas also fell by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and prices remained at Rs. 3000/3350 per quintal at the weekend. Due to lack of support from customers, Urai peas fell by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 3000/3100 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Mahoba peas also fell by Rs. 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 3000/3300 per quintal. Due to the impact of all-round fall and sluggish demand, prices of peas in Madhya Pradesh fell by Rs 50/75 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs 3100/3200 in Bina and Rs 3050/3125 per quintal in Damoh at the weekend.

Due to the impact of fall in pea prices and weak buying, prices of pea dal declined by Rs 50 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Rs 3800/3850 in Kanpur and Rs 3950/4000 per quintal at the weekend in Indore.
