Tuvar prices fluctuate as demand remains limited

Mumbai. Tuvar prices fluctuated during the current week due to selling pressure and lack of consumer support. Due to lack of demand for Tuvar dal, buying by stockists and dal millers remained limited, due to which prices continue to fluctuate. Due to increased selling by importers and weak demand, Chennai Tuvar Lemon witnessed a fluctuation of Rs 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this fluctuation, the price of lemon remained at Rs 6900/6950 per quintal. While Mumbai African Tuvar prices witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/150 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, the prices remained at Mozambique White Rs. 7000/7050, Gajari Rs. 6800/6850, Malawi Rs. 6700/6800, Dodomo Rs. 6600/6650 per quintal.
Burma
Due to weakening of exporters' selling and increase in buying, Burma Tuvar prices witnessed an improvement of $10 per ton this week and with this improvement, the price remained at $825 per ton at the end of the week.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port's fall and sluggish demand, during the current week, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a rise and fall of Rs. 50 per quintal and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a rise and fall of Rs. 50 per quintal and with this rise and fall, the price remained at Rs. 7400 for lemon and Rs. 7550/770 for Desi at the end of the week.
Maharashtra
Due to increased demand from dal millers and stockists, Tuvar prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the weekend prices became Solapur Rs. 6500/7400, Akola Rs. 7550/7750, Nagpur Rs. 7625/7650 and Dudhni Rs. 6800/7450 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to increased selling and weak buying, Karnataka Tuvar prices witnessed a rise and fall of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this rise and fall, the weekend prices became Gulbarga Rs. 6500/7560, Raichur Rs. 6877/7382, Yadgir Rs. 6701/7303 and Talikot Rs. 6860/7429 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to sporadic buying by dal millers, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices improved by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and with this improvement, the prices at the weekend became Katni Rs. 7400/7500, Jabalpur Rs. 5000/6800, Pipariya Rs. 6000/7050 and Kareli Rs. 6000/7200 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round fall and weak buying, Raipur tuvar prices fell by Rs. 50 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 7650/7850 per quintal at the weekend. Whereas Kanpur tuvar prices increased by Rs. 200 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 7100 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the impact of fall in Tuvar prices and weak demand, Tuvar Dal prices have fallen by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the weekend prices have become Delhi Fatka Rs. 10850/11175, Katni Fatka Rs. 10650/10850, Akola Rs. 10400/11600, Latur Fatka Rs. 11100/11300, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 10600/11200 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 10900/11300 per quintal.
