Urad prices improve due to increased buying
Chennai. Urad prices have improved during the current week due to weakening of selling at low prices and improvement in demand. Due to sluggish demand for Urad dal and Urad Gota, buying of Urad by dal millers has remained limited, due to which rising prices are not getting support. Due to weakening of selling by importers and increase in demand from millers, Chennai Urad prices have improved by Rs 50 per quintal this week and with this improvement, the price at the weekend became FAQ Rs 7300 and SQ Rs 7875 per quintal. Similarly, Mumbai Urad prices also saw a decline of Rs 50 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs 7350 per quintal.
Burma
Due to weakening of selling by exporters and increased buying, Burma Urad FAQ saw a rise of 5 dollars and SQ saw a rise of 15 dollars per tonne during the current week and with this rise, the price of FAQ reached 830 dollars per tonne and SQ reached 910 dollars per tonne at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the support of the rise in the port and increased buying by the dal millers, the price of Urad in Delhi registered a rise of 50 rupees per quintal this week. And with this rise, the price reached 7675 rupees per quintal for FAQ and 8275 rupees per quintal for SQ at the weekend.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to increased demand, the price of urad in Madhya Pradesh has increased by Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week. With this increase, the price remained at Rs. 5000/7500 in Jabalpur, Rs. 5000/6500 in Tikamgarh and Rs. 7000/7700 per quintal in Indore at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to increased demand from dal millers, the price of urad in Maharashtra has increased by Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week. And with this increase, the price remained at Rs. 7650 in Akola, Rs. 7300/7800 in Latur, Rs. 7300/7800 in Jalgaon, Rs. 6200/7500 in Barshi and Rs. 5000/7000 per quintal at Ahmednagar at the weekend.
Others
Due to the support of all round rise and increase in demand, Jaipur Urad prices registered a rise of Rs. 200 per quintal this week and with this increase the price reached Rs. 7200/8000 per quintal. Whereas in Krishna District and Vijayawada, no increase or decrease was seen in the price of Urad this week and at the end of the week the price remained Rs. 7600 in Krishna District and Rs. 7600/7700 per quintal in Vijayawada.
Urad Dal
Due to the impact of fall in Urad prices and sluggish demand, no increase or decrease was seen in the price of Urad Dal this week and at the end of the week the price remained Rs. 9450/10800 in Delhi, Rs. 9900 in Bhatapara, Rs. 10300 in Jalgaon, Rs. 8300/8900 in Meerut and Rs. 9400/13100 per quintal in Indore.
