2024-25 में विश्व में चीनी की कमी 25 लाख टन पहुंचने की आशंका: ISO
★ इंटरनेशनल शुगर ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (ISO) के अनुसार 2024-25 सीजन में विश्व में चीनी उत्पादन 1793 (2023-24 में 1813) लाख टन, निर्यात 665 (2023-24 में 686) लाख टन, आयात 655 (2023-24 में 683) लाख टन रहने की उम्मीद।
★ ISO के अनुसार 2024-25 में चीनी की डिमांड 1829 लाख टन रह सकती है जो 2023-24 में 1815 लाख टन थी।
★ सीजन के अंत में 961 लाख टन का स्टॉक बच सकता है जो गत वर्ष 986 लाख टन था।
★ ISO के अनुसार 2023-24 में विश्व में 2 लाख टन चीनी की कमी थी।
★ ISO के अनुसार 2024 सीजन में विश्व में एथनोल का उत्पादन 118 बिलियन लीटर पहुंचा जो 2023-24 में 115.7 बिलियन लीटर था।
★ ब्राजील में चीनी, गन्ना रस, अनाजों से एथनोल उत्पादन बढ़ा।

World sugar shortage expected to reach 25 lakh tonnes in 2024-25: ISO
★ According to the International Sugar Organization (ISO), in the 2024-25 season, world sugar production is expected to be 1793 (1813 in 2023-24) lakh tonnes, export 665 (686 in 2023-24) lakh tonnes, import 655 (683 in 2023-24) lakh tonnes.
★ According to ISO, the demand for sugar in 2024-25 may be 1829 lakh tonnes, which was 1815 lakh tonnes in 2023-24.
