52 Lakh Tonnes of Rice Allocated for 2025-26 Ethanol Season
★ To supply rice for ethanol production, the government has allocated a total of 5.2 million tonnes (52 lakh tonnes) of rice to distilleries for the 2025-26 Ethanol Supply Year (November–October), the same as last year.
★ Alongside this, the fixed price of rice has been increased to ₹2,320 per quintal from the previous ₹2,250.
★ So far, 1.7 million tonnes (17 lakh tonnes) of the allocated rice has been lifted by distilleries in the current ethanol supply year.
