Allocation of 500,000 tonnes each of rice and wheat under the “Bharat” brand
★ Under the Bharat brand, the price of Bharat Atta is expected to rise to ₹32–33 per kg, up from the earlier ₹30 per kg.
★ Bharat rice prices are likely to remain unchanged at ₹34 per kg.
★ Bharat Atta sales were launched in 2023.
★ So far, the government has sold 1.9 million tonnes of wheat and 1.8 million tonnes of rice under the Bharat brand.
★ With inflation easing, allocations have been reduced. However, if required, allocations may be increased again.
