Brazil May Increase Soybean Exports to China in Second Half of 2025
★ Brazil is projected to export up to 44 million tonnes of soybeans in the second half of 2025, compared to 34.7 million tonnes during the same period last year. The surge is mainly driven by competitive pricing and high quality, making China the largest buyer of Brazilian soybeans.
★ In the first half of 2025, Brazil exported 64.9 million tonnes of soybeans, which is 0.8 million tonnes more than January–June 2024. Of this, 75% (48.4 million tonnes) was shipped to China, up from 72% (46.3 million tonnes) last year.
★ The share of soybean exports to China is expected to rise to 85% during the July–December period.
