Canada Market - Peas
Pea prices remain stable this week.
★ Green peas at ~$17.00/bu (pickup), yellow peas at $11.00/bu (delivered).
★ India's rabi crop started well with good rains but January remained relatively dry.
★ Pea prices in India are declining due to increased yellow pea imports from Canada and Russia, along with Australian desi chickpeas.  
★ Lower prices reduce the chances of India extending its zero import tariff beyond February.  
★ Uncertainty over Indian tariffs weakens yellow pea demand, while green pea prices are expected to stay firm due to tight supply.
