Lentils
★ Prices remained steady over the past week with no major changes.
★ Red lentils are trading at around 33 cents/lb in the spot market, while new crop bids remain around 29 cents/lb.
★ Old crop large green lentils recently traded between 48–50 cents/lb, whereas new crop indications are at 41–42 cents/lb.
★ Trade for old crop large green lentils is limited, making pricing unclear as buyer interest slows.
★ Old crop small green lentils are trading at 43–44 cents/lb, and new crop at 37–38 cents/lb.
★ No immediate price shifts are expected in the lentil market, but as seeding progresses and harvest approaches, the situation will become clearer.

Peas
★ Seeding is underway in many regions, with a 16% decline in pea acres now reported.
★ Due to China’s 100% tariff on peas, many farmers are switching to alternative crops.
★ India holds large domestic pea stocks, and a decision on reinstating its tariff is expected after May 31.
★ Currently, pea prices are showing seasonal softness.
★ Spot yellow peas are priced at $10.75/bu FOB farm, while new crop yellow peas are trading at $8.50–$9.00/bu FOB.
★ Green peas (#2 grade) are at $16.00/bu delivered, while new crop values are at $12.50/bu FOB.
