Chana (Gram) Market Update
★ This year, government procurement of chana has increased, mainly because market prices have been above the MSP. Favorable weather and rising production have led to expectations of a good harvest this season.
★ A large quantity of chana is also being imported from foreign countries.
★ It remains to be seen whether the government will extend the chana import window or not.
★ According to I-Grain India, like other pulses, the chana import deadline may also be extended.
★ The future of chana largely depends on peas.
