The USDA reported another private export sale of 125,000 metric tons of corn to unknown destinations this morning. Export Sales data for the week ending February 26 will be released on Thursday. Analysts expect old crop corn sales to range between 0.6 and 1.6 million tons, while new crop sales are estimated between 0 and 100,000 tons. However, last Thursday a private export sale of 154,000 metric tons of 2026/27 crop corn to Japan was also reported.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), ethanol production for the week ending February 27 was 1.095 million barrels per day, down by 18,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Ethanol stocks increased by 691,000 barrels to 26.337 million barrels. During the same week, ethanol exports rose by 76,000 barrels per day to 217,000 barrels per day, while refiner inputs declined by 2,000 barrels per day to 864,000 barrels per day.
