Corn Mandi Price Update (April 2025):
★ Fluctuations were observed in the average corn (makka) prices across various mandis in the country during April. In Delhi, the bilty cut corn price started at Rs.2500 per quintal and rose to Rs.2600 per quintal by mid-month. However, in the final week, prices slightly declined, closing at Rs.2450 per quintal.
★ In Uttar Pradesh's Jahangirabad mandi, corn prices remained steady, starting from Rs.2250 per quintal throughout the month. In ★ Etah mandi, corn prices fluctuated between Rs.2000 and Rs.2200 per quintal.
★ In Bihar's Gulabbagh mandi, corn prices showed significant volatility. Starting from Rs.2250/2310 per quintal, prices climbed to Rs.2350/2400 per quintal but dropped towards the end of the month to Rs.2140/2180 per quintal. The arrival of new corn crops in ★ Gulabbagh began with 3000 quintals early in the month and surged to 10,000 quintals by the end of April.
★ In Karnataka’s Gulbarga mandi, loose corn prices remained stable at around Rs.2500/2800 per quintal, though a slight decline was recorded towards the month's end.
Throughout April 2025, corn prices experienced continuous fluctuations.  
Bihar's new corn production is estimated to be around 15% higher compared to last year.  
The increasing arrivals are likely to put downward pressure on corn prices.
