ICE Cotton futures closed Tuesday’s session with nearby contracts down by 68 to 71 points. The U.S. dollar index rose by $0.513 to 98.312 on Tuesday, while crude oil increased by 36 cents per barrel.
On October 6, The Seam platform reported 633 bales sold at an average price of 60.70 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index was up 20 points on Monday to 76.65 cents. ICE cotton stocks were unchanged on October 3, with certified stocks steady at 17,891 bales.
