'C's Annual General Meeting and Award Function organized in Mumbai on 18 September

Mumbai. Sanjeev Asthana, CEO of Patanjali Foods Limited has been elected unopposed as the new President of Solvent Extractors Association of India (C),

who will be formally handed over the responsibility by the current President Ajay Jhunjhunwala in the upcoming annual meeting of the association.

The 53rd Annual General Meeting and Award Distribution Ceremony of Solvent Extractors Association of India (C), a leading organization of the indigenous vegetable oil industry and trade sector, is going to be organized on Wednesday,

18 September 2024 at 'The West in Mumbai, Powai Lake, Mumbai. In this, the Union Food Minister has been invited as the Chief Guest and the Food Secretary as the Honorary Guest.

Apart from this, ministers, ambassadors and council officials of countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Russia, Ukraine, Argentina and Brazil have also been invited to attend this important function.

It is noteworthy that about 95 percent of edible oils in India are imported from these seven countries, in which Indonesia is at the top.

700-800 members and specially invited representatives are expected to participate in this program along with many council officials of the Union Food Ministry, Agriculture Ministry and Commerce Ministry. Delegates of Globe Oil are also included in this.

The Association is an active organization of the indigenous vegetable oil industry and trade sector, which is making its significant contribution in the promotion of oilseed oil production in the country, proper arrangement of supply and availability of edible oil and on the export front of DOC.
