Cumin Prices to Stay Stable on Balanced Demand-Supply
14-Aug-2025 08:36 PM
Rajkot. There is almost a balance between the demand and supply of cumin in the domestic division and prices are almost stable with limited fluctuations. The activity of Disawari traders as well as exporters is also being seen less.
Although there is limited arrival of cumin in Unjha Mandi and now the festive season has also started, but still the expected rise in the prices of cumin is not being seen.
Due to weak market prices, producers are not getting the expected price of their product and hence they have reduced its supply in the markets.
On an average, 6-8 thousand bags of cumin are arriving in Unjha Mandi daily, but still its trading activities remain weak. The price of cumin in Unjha Mandi is running at Rs 3820/3900 per 20 kg.
New cumin from Turkey, Syria and Afghanistan etc. has started arriving in the international market. This is expected to increase pressure on prices.
