Decision to keep the storage limit on wheat applicable till March 31, 2025

New Delhi. The Central Food and Public Distribution Department has extended the period of storage limit (stock limit) applicable on wheat till March 31, 2025. According to the order issued by the Kisan, at any one point of time,

the trader / wholesaler should not have more than 2000 tonnes, 10 tonnes at each outlet of the retailer, 10 tonnes at each outlet of the big chain retailer and 10 tonnes at all its depots accordingly (number of retail outlets),

processors should not have more than 60 percent of the monthly installed capacity multiplied by the remaining months of 2024-25 wheat stock. If anyone has wheat stock more than the approved limit, then it will have to be reduced to this limit within 15 days.
