Despite the season of Marriage and low stock, there is no rise in the price of cashew nuts.

The cashew nut market in India is currently experiencing stable prices, despite the ongoing season of Lagnasara and the start of auspicious festivals, which traditionally lead to an increase in demand for cashews. The demand for cashews typically rises during this time, particularly with weddings and festivals like Deepawali. However, this year, the prices have not risen significantly, even though the stock has decreased after the festive season.
This stability in prices can be attributed to several factors:
Limited demand: Though there is some demand due to weddings and festivals, it has not been enough to cause a rise in prices.
Steady supply: Vietnam and African countries are working to maintain a smooth supply of cashew nuts in the international market. India, being the largest consumer of cashews, has focused more on domestic sales rather than exports, ensuring availability in the local market.
Current market conditions: Overall, the dry fruit market is sluggish, and there's been a shift towards using peanuts in sweets due to their lower prices, which might have reduced the immediate demand for cashews from sweet manufacturers.
Trade analysts predict that there might be a rise in cashew prices after mid-January, when demand could pick up again. However, for now, prices are expected to remain stable or see only slight increases. The domestic production is satisfactory, and cashew availability in the market is good, leading to little movement in the market in the short term.
Thus, while the demand for cashew nuts is likely to remain steady in the future, there won't be any immediate price hikes unless there's an unexpected surge in demand, especially from international markets like the Gulf.
