एफसीआई धान/चावल का स्टॉक और बढ़ने की उम्मीद
★ कीमतें MSP से कम होने के कारण बढ़ सकती है सरकारी खरीद।
★ एफसीआई ने चालू सीजन में 485 लाख टन चावल खरीद लक्ष्य रखा।
★ 1 अक्टूबर को केंद्रीय पूल में 311 लाख टन चावल का स्टॉक उपलब्ध था जो अक्टूबर 2023 में 222 लाख टन था।
★ गत खरीफ सीजन में 463 लाख टन चावल खरीद की गयी।
★ PDS स्कीम के तहत सरकार को सालाना 380 लाख टन चावल की होती है जरुरत।
★ पूल में पड़े स्टॉक को खपाने के लिए गेहूं की जगह चावल का आवंटन बढ़ सकता है, अभी हाल ही में सरकार ने डिस्टिलरी के लिए 23 लाख टन चावल ई-ऑक्शन द्वारा देने का ऐलान किया परन्तु ई-ऑक्शन में चावल खरीद हो रही है बेहद कम।

FCI paddy/rice stock expected to increase further
★ Government procurement may increase due to prices being lower than MSP.
★ FCI has set a target of purchasing 485 lakh tonnes of rice in the current season.
★ On October 1, 311 lakh tonnes of rice stock was available in the central pool, which was 222 lakh tonnes in October 2023.
★ 463 lakh tonnes of rice was purchased in the last Kharif season.
★ Under the PDS scheme, the government needs 380 lakh tonnes of rice annually.
★ To consume the stock lying in the pool, the allocation of rice may increase in place of wheat, recently the government announced to give 23 lakh tonnes of rice for distillery through e-auction, but the purchase of rice in e-auction is very less.
