फिलिपीन्स में बढ़ा चावल का आयात

★ जनवरी से अगस्त तक आयात गत वर्ष की समानअवधि से 19% उछलकर 28 लाख टन पहुंचा।

★ अकेले अगस्त में करीब 3 लाख टन हुआ आयात जो जुलाई में 1.67 लाख टन था।

★ वियतनाम सबसे बड़ा निर्यातक देश बना, उपरोक्त अवधि के दौरान फिलिपीन्स ने वियतनाम से 21.7 लाख टन, थाईलैंड से 3.7 लाख टन, पाकिस्तान से 1.56 लाख टन व म्यांमार से 0.66 लाख टन किया चावल का आयात।

Rice imports increased in the Philippines

★ From January to August, imports jumped 19% to 28 lakh tons from the same period last year.

★ In August alone, about 3 lakh tons were imported, which was 1.67 lakh tons in July.

★ Vietnam became the largest exporting country, during the above period, the Philippines imported 21.7 lakh tons of rice from Vietnam, 3.7 lakh tons from Thailand, 1.56 lakh tons from Pakistan and 0.66 lakh tons from Myanmar.
