Global Cotton Production Expected to Decline by 4% to 24.8 Million Tonnes: ICAC
★ According to the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), global cotton production may decline in 2026–27.
★ Production could decrease due to lower prices in the global market.
★ China is expected to remain the largest producer, followed by India, Brazil, and the United States, where production may also decline.
★ Global consumption may shrink to around 28 million tonnes, while world cotton trade is estimated at 9.6 million tonnes in 2026–27.
