Global sugar market reduced by 25.13 lakh tonnes of stock.
Consumption is estimated to increase to 1815.82 lakh tonnes and production to fall to 1790.69 lakh tonnes.
Export availability and import demand expected to fall sharply:
Exports: 631.27 lakh tonnes
Imports 644.09 lakh tonnes
Final estimate for 2023/24 season
★ After cutting the consumption estimate, outstanding stock of 13.12 lakh tonnes was recorded.
★ World sugar trade volume reached a record level of more than 690 lakh tonnes.
★ Thus, there is a possibility of imbalance in supply and demand in the global sugar market next year.
