Grain stocks on rise in central pool
★ As of April 27, 2025, the total grain stock in the central pool has reached 661.72 lakh tonnes, which is 329.67 lakh tonnes more than on April 1, 2023.
★ Rice stock stands at 380.34 lakh tonnes, which is 78.77 lakh tonnes higher than on April 1, 2024, and 131.74 lakh tonnes more than on April 1, 2023. However, compared to April 1, 2025, rice stock has declined by 1.75 lakh tonnes by April 27.
★ Wheat stock stands at 281.38 lakh tonnes, which is 206.36 lakh tonnes more than the same time last year.
Compared to 2023, wheat stock in 2025 is higher by 197.93 lakh tonnes.
