Heavy Rains Ahead in Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Saurashtra: IMD
★ The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast extremely heavy rainfall over Konkan, Goa, and the ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra till Tuesday.
★ In Gujarat, extremely heavy rainfall is expected from Monday to Wednesday, while similar conditions are likely in Saurashtra on Tuesday and Wednesday. Coastal Karnataka is likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall on Monday and Tuesday, and interior south Karnataka on Monday.
★ This week, parts of East Rajasthan and Uttarakhand may also receive heavy rainfall.
★ The IMD has also issued flash flood warnings for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Vidarbha, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada.
★ Currently, crops in these states are at the flowering and grain-setting stage, and heavy rains could affect yields.
