★ According to the Pulses Pulses Panel, imports are being affected due to lack of space at the port. The challenge is increasing due to lack of space. Due to which exporting countries are facing problems.

★ Due to increase in import of Desi gram, there may be a decrease in pea imports. 9-10 lakh tonnes of tur imports reached from 1-30 November. Imports are less than last season.

★ Importers have suffered huge losses in pulses imports, at current prices, sellers are more and buyers are less.

★ After the tenders for various civil supplies came, some consumption came out.

★ There may be a decrease in pea imports, pulses imports are expected to decrease from January to March.

★ According to the panelists, there is a difference between government and actual production figures, due to which the supply and demand figures are disturbed.

★ Due to good prices this year, the area of Tuar has increased, last year the production was 35 lakh tons which can reach 40-42 lakh tons this year.

★ Desi gram area is also increasing.

★ In India, Lentil  production is 12 lakh tons and consumption is 22 lakh tons, the remaining quantity is imported.

★ Red lentil production in Canada is 14 lakh tons (11 lakh tons last year). Expected to reach 11 lakh tons in Australia. Earlier, the crop in Australia was reported to be 17 lakh tons.

★ There is no change in the current season in the world pulses supply, production consumption figures, but problems are increasing due to problems in logistics.

★ In Australia, gram production is expected to reach 15-17 lakh tons, the price is reported to be 680-700$. There was a problem in germination in the initial stage. Due to high prices, wheat and maize sowing increased in many areas. Lentil sowing is expected to be equal to last year.

★ The government will have to take cognizance of the pea import matter keeping in mind the interests of farmers.
