★ In parboiled rice, India's prices are $31/tonne lower than Pakistan and $55/tonne lower than Thailand.
★ China may import 5 million tonnes and the Philippines around 4.5 million tonnes of rice, which could increase demand and push prices higher.
★ Vietnam and Pakistan initially lowered their prices, but due to supply shortages, they have increased them again.
★ Thailand’s total rice exports fell by 30%, and white rice exports dropped by 50%, mainly impacted by India resuming its exports.
