India: Rise in Spice and Rice Exports, Decline in Pulses and Edible Oil Imports
Rice
★ Exports slightly declined in May 2025 to 967.04 million USD, compared to 1,004.15 million USD in May 2024. However, during the April–May 2025 period, rice exports reached 2,048.6 million USD, up from 1,956.2 million USD in the same period last year.

★ Exports saw a strong increase. In May 2025, spice exports stood at 403.44 million USD, compared to 362.85 million USD in May 2024. For the April–May two-month period, spice exports reached 843.60 million USD, nearly 10% higher than the previous year.

★ Exports showed a slight decline. In May 2025, exports dropped to 20.54 million USD from 20.79 million USD a year ago. During April–May, exports stood at 38.89 million USD, down from 43.11 million USD in the corresponding period last year.
