Indonesia to Raise Palm Oil Export Levy: Official
★ Indonesia will increase the export levy on crude palm oil (CPO) to a range of 4.5% to 10%, up from the current 3% to 7.5%. This increase aims to finance the expansion of palm oil blending in biodiesel.
★ Indonesia has raised the mandatory palm oil blend in biodiesel from 35% to 40% this year.
★ The government is considering increasing it to 50% by 2026.
★ Additionally, there are plans to introduce a 3% blend in jet fuel next year to reduce fuel imports.
★ This move could result in lower palm oil stocks available for export in Indonesia and may lead to higher export prices.
