★ In the week ending August 8, the U.S. produced 1.093 million barrels per day of ethanol. Stocks rose by 1.17 million barrels to reach 226.5 million barrels.
★ Exports also increased by 7,000 bpd to 123,000 bpd.
★ The U.S. produces ethanol on a large scale, which is why it has been emphasizing the export of corn or ethanol to India.
★ For the week of August 7, U.S. corn exports are expected to be 150,000–600,000 tons for old crop and 900,000–2.4 million tons for new crop.
★ South Korea issued tenders to purchase 266,000 tons of corn.
