International Corn Market
According to export inspection data, a total of 1.659 million metric tons (65.29 million bushels) of corn was exported during the week of March 13. This represents a 25.06% increase compared to the same week last year, but a 10.06% decrease from the previous week. Mexico was the largest destination this week, receiving 346,619 metric tons of corn, followed by Japan with 322,618 metric tons, and Colombia with 178,227 metric tons.
Since the beginning of the marketing year on September 1, total corn exports have reached 30.76 million metric tons (1.211 billion bushels), which is 32.65% higher than the same period last year.
According to AgRural, Brazil's second corn crop was 97% planted as of last Thursday.
