The EIA (Energy Information Administration) released its weekly Petroleum Status Report this morning, which showed that ethanol production increased by 43,000 barrels per day, bringing total production to 1.105 million barrels per day.
Ethanol inventories saw a decline of 801,000 barrels, bringing total stocks down to 26.575 million barrels.
Ethanol blending by refiners rose by 19,000 barrels per day, reaching 896,000 barrels per day.
Export sales data suggests that for the week ending March 13, old crop corn sales ranged between 0.8 to 1.7 million metric tons (MMT).
Sales for the 2025/26 crop year are expected to be between 0 to 100,000 metric tons (MT).
Turkey has issued a quota for the import of 1 million metric tons of feed corn, which will remain effective at a reduced duty rate until the end of June.
Allendale estimates that the total corn planting area in the U.S. for 2025 will be 93.98 million acres, based on a producer survey.
