International Corn Market
According to this morning’s Export Sales report, U.S. corn sales for the 2024/25 marketing year totaled 1.15 million metric tons (MMT) in the week ending April 17, reaching the upper end of the estimated range of 0.8 to 1.3 MMT. However, this was a 26.2% decrease from the previous week.
Japan emerged as the largest buyer during the week, purchasing 629,200 MT of corn. South Korea bought 140,600 MT, while Mexico accounted for 136,400 MT. No new crop sales (for the upcoming marketing year) were recorded, totaling 0 MT.
