International Cotton Market
On Wednesday, ICE cotton futures were down by 21 to 88 points across most contracts. Crude oil rose by 25 cents to $75.09 per barrel as price action remained relatively quiet. The US dollar index fell by $0.061 to 98.455.
Markets and government offices will remain closed on Thursday in observance of Juneteenth, and all government reports will be delayed by one day.
The Seam reported 2,244 bales sold in Tuesday’s online sale at an average price of 63.39 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index was up 60 points on June 17 at 78.75. ICE cotton stocks rose by 120 bales through new certifications on June 17, bringing total certified stocks to 62,332 bales. USDA’s Adjusted World Price (AWP) was up 26 points last Thursday to 54.02 cents per pound.
