ICE cotton futures closed lower on Monday, with contracts declining by 26 to 34 points. Crude oil futures also recorded a drop of $1.56 per barrel. Meanwhile, the US Dollar Index ended the day down by 105 points.
According to The Seam, online sales on January 24 totaled 12,724 bales, with an average price of 51.93 cents per pound. ICE cotton stocks remained unchanged on Thursday, with certified stocks totaling 218 bales.
The Cotlook A Index rose by 30 points on January 24, closing at 77.90 cents per pound. USDA's Adjusted World Price (AWP) decreased by 27 points compared to the previous week, standing at 53.71 cents per pound as of Thursday afternoon.
