International Cotton Market
In Monday’s session, ICE cotton futures saw a decline of 12 to 39 points. However, there was some support from external markets. Crude oil futures rose by $0.30 per barrel, while the U.S. Dollar Index fell by 0.175 points by the end of the day.
In The Seam’s online auction on Friday, a total of 2,123 bales were sold at an average price of 64.18 cents per pound.
The Cotlook A Index dropped by 45 points on March 14, settling at 78.40 cents per pound.
ICE cotton stocks remained unchanged on March 14, with certified stocks currently totaling 14,488 bales.
Last Thursday afternoon, the USDA increased the weekly Adjusted World Price (AWP) by 188 points, bringing it to 53.76 cents per pound.
