International Cotton Market
ICE Cotton Futures were weaker on Monday, with contracts falling by 47 to 125 points. Outside markets showed mixed trends, with crude oil futures down $1.14 per barrel and the U.S. Dollar Index dropping by $0.574 to 98.680.
NASS reported that 15% of the U.S. cotton crop had been planted as of April 27, 1 percentage point ahead of the 5-year average pace.
The Seam reported that 4,649 cash bales were sold online on April 25, at an average price of 64.17 cents per pound.
The Cotlook A Index increased by 25 points on Friday to 80.55 cents per pound.
ICE cotton stocks remained steady on April 25, with certified stock levels at 14,478 bales.
The USDA's Adjusted World Price (AWP) rose by 145 points last Thursday to 54.88 cents per pound.
